Who is responsible

The data controller is MooNitoring, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its registered address at 150 Southeast 2nd Avenue, Suite 701, Miami, FL 33131, United States.

MooNitoring is a data infrastructure company, not an insurer or broker. It does not sell, underwrite or place insurance, and nothing on this site is a quote or an offer of cover.

The farm fit-check form

When you complete the fit-check on the farmer page, we store your email address, the language you used, and your four answers: herd size band, goals, risks and current livestock cover.

We use them for one purpose: to check whether your farm fits the free analysis pilot and to contact you about it. The legal basis is the steps you asked us to take before a possible agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). We do not add you to a newsletter.

We keep a submission for 24 months from the date you sent it. If your farm joins a pilot, the pilot terms take over and set their own retention.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records each request to the site: IP address, browser type, requested page and time. These logs exist to run the site and to detect abuse, and are deleted automatically after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

Usage measurement

We measure how the site is used with Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These tools set no cookies and do not store your IP address. They count page views and loading times using an identifier that changes every day and cannot be linked back to you across days.

Because no identifier is stored on your device, this measurement does not require your consent. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works for its visitors (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets one cookie, named locale, only when you choose a language in the footer. It remembers that choice for 12 months so the bare domain opens in the language you picked. It is strictly necessary for that feature and holds no personal data.

There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no embedded social media widgets. Links to LinkedIn, X and Google Calendar are plain links: nothing is sent to those services until you click.

Who processes the data for us

Vercel Inc. hosts the site and provides the logs and measurement described above. Neon Inc. stores the fit-check submissions in a database located in the European Union. Both act on our written instructions and cannot use the data for their own purposes.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where the data is stored

Fit-check submissions are stored in the European Union, and the site's server functions run in the European Union. MooNitoring, Inc. is established in the United States, so our team may access the data from there. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to operations@moonitoring.com and we will answer within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it). You can also contact the authority of the country where you live or work.

Changes to this notice

When the site starts collecting new data or using a new service, we update this page and the date at the top.
